PURESHOWER FILTER SYSTEM | For Chlorine, Disinfection byproducts, VOCs, Hydrogen Sulfide and More

Shower filter systems are limited by weight and space since they are installed onto your shower pipe, as such we focused ours toward chemicals that matter most in a shower—particularly ones that can off-gas into the air and be breathed in: chlorine, disinfection byproducts and VOCs.

 DESCRIPTION OF FILTRATION PHASES: 

PHASE 1 
Primary Sediment

Inlet sediment filter catches particles and rust so the media lasts longer without killing flow.

PHASE 2
De-chlorination

KDF-55® media converts free chlorine to harmless chloride extending the life of carbon in next phase to focus on other chemicals. Zinc in the media helps limit stagnation in the cartridge.

PHASE 3
Secondary Chemicals

Advanced catalytic carbon adsorbs chemicals and has improved reduction of more difficult ones like Hydrogen sulfide (rotten-egg odor) over regular activated carbons.

PHASE 4
Secondary Sediment

Sediment filter at the output catches fines so carbon and KDF don’t leave the cartridge.

 CARTRIDGE CHANGE SCHEDULE: 

Please note: We recommend to replace our PureShower™ filter cartridge more often than most other shower filter brands, this is because instead of basing the cartridge life on one of the easiest to remove chemicals, Chlorine (which is how most filter companies calculate the rated cartridge life), we also factor in other chemicals/contaminants in the water resulting in a safer and more redundant approach. 

Every 4 Months = 1 Person

Every 3 Months = 2 People

Every 2 Months = 3 People

Every 1 Month   = 4-5 People
