Although our filter systems are already designed with significant leak-resistant features such as: Double O-Ring Housings, High-Grade Valves, No Chinese Components and pressure tested housings, this ingenious device provides an additional and critical level of protection against leaks/floods for greater peace of mind. It connects to the Input line of our whole house filter systems and upon detecting water, automatically shuts off the water flow to the system.
The device plugs into a standard GFCI AC power outlet (has battery backup as well) and uses an electronic sensor which sends a signal to the microcomputer control module upon detecting water, this then triggers an automatic valve closure in seconds and stops the water flow automatically, the control module then makes a beeping sound to notify you.
We don't anticipate you having leaks (over hundreds of units sold, our systems have not had any leaks when properly installed and maintained), neverthless this device serves as important insurance in unusual cases where leaks may occur, e.g. installation mistakes, unnoticed shipping damage to system, improper maintenance, rare defect, etc.

Although this device provides a signficant level of protection against leaks, it should not be relied on solely. Common sense, proper care and attention to your appliances should not be excluded. These leak-stoppers must be plugged into a GFCI Power Outlet. If power is lost, the leak-stopper will not work unless you have placed the backup batteries inside the control panel. Please ensure the AA batteries are replaced at least every 12 months or when low battery indicator.
