I bought this filter because my functional medicine practitioner recommended it. We have very hard city water and my copper toxicity levels were off the charts high as measured by a hair minerals and heavy metals test (HTMA). We were using a cheaper filter off of Amazon but obviously it wasn’t robust enough. My husband had a little bit of a hard time with installing this filter (make sure the cartridge is not backwards) but once it was properly installed and running I felt an immediate difference in the water quality. It’s better for our skin, hair, and most importantly our water should no longer be dumping gallons of copper into my skin. Heavy metal toxicity has a serious effect on hormones and other health systems so I highly recommend filtering your water.
