I recently purchased the Undercounter Ultra-UC filter and am delighted with it! It fits neatly against the wall under my sink, taking up very little space -- which was something I'd had a concern about. Earlier this year fluoride was added back into our city water, after having been removed the previous year; and it's such a relief to know that with the PureEffect system this is now being filtered out of my tap water, along with drug residues and the long list of other impurities that these filters remove. A key factor that drew me to the PureEffect product was that it's fully made in the U.S. Also, I just tested the alkalinity of the filtered water and it came in at a pH of 8, which I'm very happy with, as I discovered at the same time that the bottled water from a well-known company that I'd been drinking for over a year has a considerably more acidic pH of 6, and the difference in taste and texture of the two waters is quite noticeable.
