This UVLED Module
comes as an option with our DISINFECT undercounter system; it can also be added to existing undercounter systems where maximum disinfection is desired.

SUPERIOR DISINFECTION TECHNOLOGY:  As the water reaches the final Phase of the filtration process, it passes through this 2nd Generation Disinfection Module that uses instant-on, state-of-the-art LED UV-C lights to quickly and effectively destroy viruses, bacteria and many other microorganisms without the use of chemicals.

Ideal for both City and Well water, this LED technology is superior to the standard Glass-Bulb UV systems and has significant advantages:

HOW IT WORKS: The LEDs inside the module are fully isolated from being visible to your eye and are instantly activated by the water flow when you turn on your filter.  LEDs emit UV-C type light at a UV intensity dose of apx. 40mJ/cm2. (The optimal parameters to safely and quickly inactivate a very wide range of microorganisms found in water).

DO I NEED THIS FOR CITY WATER?:  City chemical water disinfection processes (chlorine/chloramine) can cause microorganisms to become resistant to these treatments over time.  UV light does not have such an "adaptive" effect and provides an additional level of redundancy against such situations and in cases where there is city disinfection failure and/or if the city is late to warn you about it.

DO I NEED THIS FOR WELL WATER?:  Well water is not treated/disinfected at all unless you periodically "shock" it with Chlorine or use an Ozonation system, both of which cause undesirable side effects such as: Chlorine and Ozonation chemical byproducts forming in the water, deterioration inside the well and micro-organism disinfection resistance.  Our UV LED Module safely solves all these problems, thereby, saving your valuable time, money and eliminating frustration.
