   There is nothing more important than safe water. We cannot change the way our worldwide water systems have been polluted. We can change the water that we bring into our home and make it safer with this water filtering system. Well built, USA made, very reasonable price and easy to use. I only wish I had purchased it sooner! I shopped around checking dozens of filtering systems over a six month period. I could never find anything like the Pure Effect Brand. I will be buying the whole house system in a few months. The under sink model is great but now that I see the quality that this company puts out, I want the whole house system.    i normally do not write reviews unless I REALLY LOVE what i bought and know that other people who are shopping need to read a review that explains everything.
   
   I already had a small under the sink water filter system in my home. (home depot)
   I never fully liked the taste and texture of the water and spent extra $ to buy bottled water.
   After 2 years of buying water and filters I decided to make the INVESTMENT in a better filtration system and found Pure Effect Filters. I have to say that I am 100% over-satisfied with the Product.
   The water is AMAZING and we have had friends come by who own reverse osmosis systems and they were shocked and it's purity and taste.

   I recently purchased the Undercounter Ultra-UC filter and am delighted with it! It fits neatly against the wall under my sink, taking up very little space -- which was something I'd had a concern about. Earlier this year fluoride was added back into our city water, after having been removed the previous year; and it's such a relief to know that with the PureEffect system this is now being filtered out of my tap water, along with drug residues and the long list of other impurities that these filters remove. A key factor that drew me to the PureEffect product was that it's fully made in the U.S. Also, I just tested the alkalinity of the filtered water and it came in at a pH of 8, which I'm very happy with, as I discovered at the same time that the bottled water from a well-known company that I'd been drinking for over a year has a considerably more acidic pH of 6, and the difference in taste and texture of the two waters is quite noticeable.    I used to use an RO system with minerals added back in. It never "felt" right. The water from the pure effects filter is noticeably different and it tastes like I'm drinking water from a fresh running stream in the mountains. I drink a lot more. (Posted on 9/4/2013)

   I installed the Ultra UC unit on the wall in the basement and I ran a hose from it to fill our emergency tanks - 150 gallons - plus we fill our 5 gallon bottles as needed for our kitchen water dispenser (the standard upside down bottle 5 gal type). It has been installed for over a year and have had no issues.
   The water has always - from day 1 - tasted great. We had used other delivery services for 5 gallon bottles and also filled our own at Whole Foods, but I must say this is the best tasting of all of those. I never have to worry about the off-taste of the local water - along with the smell of chlorine. Fortunately for us our local water plant does not fluoridate the water, but it does come from a reservoir right by our house and I was concerned about the long term affects of radiation fallout on the water in the reservoir. With this filter I am no longer concerned about how or what might happen in the future.
   I am going to purchase two new sets of filters so I can be ready for just about anything. I suspect if something does happen there will be a shortage of filters almost instantly, and this will go along with my other long term preparations.
   One final note. Since the cost per gallon is now so low, we now give the dog this water and she does drink substantially more than with tap water. (Posted on 8/27/2013)

   The order arrived well-packed, no issues. Installation was easy. The instructions were thorough and straightforward. All the tube connections worked first time, no leaks. The build quality is very good. In fact, I think the design and materials for the sink-mounted water spout are undoubtedly the best I've seen, unusually elegant.
   
   I'm happy with the quality of the water. In particular, I switched to this water filter because it gives me the alkalinized water I need while cleaning the water much more thoroughly than my previous filter did. I feel more comfortable that my water is as good as it can get.
   
   The only minor issue is the amount of water and mess that can occur when the system is full of water and I mount a new cartridge. I'd like to be able to drain some of the water from inside each of the three cartridges before twisting them off. Then there would be no water on the floor of my under-sink cabinet. However, as I said, this is minor and very infrequent, since it only happens when a cartridge is swapped out for a new one.
   
   For the price I paid, I find myself totally satisfied and recommend these filters without reservation. (Posted on 7/18/2013)

   I recently moved a town that gets its water from a lake & then chlorinates & fluoridates it. Plus who knows what other contaminants run in. YUCK!!! This filter cleans up the water beautifully. It tastes great. I love the constant flow as opposed to reverse osmosis units. I did have a plumber install it so I don't know how easy it is to connect, but he had no problem. I live in an apartment so I like that I can take it with me if I move. Now I can rest easy knowing that I am drinking clean, healthy water.    I researched a lot of filters and wasn't impressed with the fact that the reverse osmosis filter wasted so much water.When I found the pure effect website I was excited.No waste and the water quality is superb.No more flouride in my water gives me a peace of mind when my kids are drinking water.I am pleased by how many contaminants it filters.I am very health conscience about what my family eats and drinks,and this filter fits our lifestyle perfect.My husband installed it within an hour.The only problem we ran into was a part was broken off one of the filters.We called and another part was sent out fast.Problem solved.We love the taste of the water it is crisp and smooth.When we poured our first glass of water,we also poured one from the tap and the smell of chlorine from the tap water was overwhelming,while the pure effect water had no smell at all,

    We have enjoyed our water since day one of the filter install. Our city that we live in has started to use fluoride in the water again and we wanted to reduce that and other elements in our tap water. normally our water tastes like chlorine and the Pure filter removes that taste.
