   I diligently researched many water filters and ultimately went with the Pure Effects UC Disinfect. Installation was pretty straightforward. Water tastes great! I was used to the town water which heavily tasted like chlorine and I can honestly say the water tastes like nothing now - which is what water should taste like. We’ve had the filter for a few months now and water quality is staying consistent. All in all very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend.    This is the second year we have had our water filter system. Both my wife and I enjoy it. I recently changed the filters and called the compantywith a question. Like always, they picked up the phone immediately and answered my question. The 4 new filters I ordered arrived within 3 days and they were relatively easy to install.    I used to drive an hour every month to collect mountain spring water direct from the side of the mountain. I was looking for a solution to all that travel and time. We just installed the under-counter system with all the bells and whistles. It's AMAZING. The water tastes fresh and free of the odor/taste of filtered city water. I couldn't be happier. We had a plumber install it, put in a new faucet at the same time, and added a plug for the third hole in the sink bracket. It all worked perfectly. In fact, during install, the plumber had not connected something correctly and when he turned on the water, it tried to leak but the system has a leak stopper and no leak ever happened! He caught it immediately and rectified. I did not even know about the leak stopper. Everything the plumber needed was included in the package and this entire process was seamless. I am now a LOYAL customer and I'll be directing everyone to this website for filtration systems. (Posted on 10/28/2024)

8. Great Water Filters, We’ve Used almost 10 years

   We have been using these water filters for almost ten years now.
   We started just changing them every six months. We are now changing out these filters in 90-100 cycles not because they aren’t doing the job but just the opposite. I noticed the filters getting dirtier in our six month change cycle. I then moved it to every 120 plus days now I am at about 90-100 days. We might be at a strict 90 day change cycle because of the crap in our city water.
   
   I trust these filters. When I first bought them I sent filtered samples of water off to be tested. We got back stellar results. Our water tastes great too. I highly recommend these filters.

   Thanks for much for taking the time to share your experience. Please note, your system has various stages of filtration and many layers on each stage, so just because you see the exterior of your cartridge turn dark colored, chances are this is just the outer layer and the inner layer is still clean (if you look with a flashlight through the top hole on the SuperBlock Cartridge) and then you still have other stages after this too. As such, you don't need to waste money buying more cartridges so often, simply follow our cartridge change recommendation of every 500 gallons or 12 months, whichever comes FIRST).    Installation was fairly straightforward, despite some unusual constraints under our cabinet. The instructions were excellent, but when I had a detailed question I was able to get friendly, prompt and accurate info through the technical phone support line. We spent a lot of time making sure of our placement of the counter top spigot because we didn't want to drill more than one hole in our granite counter top. There was plenty of red and blue tubing so we could re-arrange the under-counter components after installation. We didn't hang the filter units, rather we set them on the floor - it seems easier for changing the filters. Overall, it is working exactly as advertised. No leaks. (Posted on 9/30/2023)

    We got this product after discovering that we had uranium in our water…obviously not ideal. We were able to install it ourselves easily and begin using it right away.
